The Einherjar Mission
It is the mission of Einherjar (ain-HAIR-yar - Norse - those who fight alone) to provide wounded veterans with a community that facilitates the healing of mind, body, and spirit through shared adventures in nature, where veterans can once again share camaraderie with other veterans and help one another through the challenges of life after war.
With the help of our amazing sponsors and donors, we will take groups of wounded veterans on outdoor adventures across the world, with activites including rafting, kayaking, scuba diving, mountain climbing, hiking, skiing, boating, and camping, plus much more.

About The Founder
Joe Montalbano served two tours in Iraq and Afghanistan after high school. After leaving the service, he kept searching for a place he could share his experiences with others who had gone through the same things.
With the goal of providing a constructive, action-oriented environment for veterans to just be themselves and relate their experiences, Joe and the team began leading groups of veterans on nature trips, eventually founding Einherjar to support this mission.
